The Zalmhaven is well known in Rotterdam! The design of this amazing project comes from the architects Dam & Partners and KAAN Architecten, BAM is responsible for the implementation. The project itself comprises 452 apartments and penthouses, 33 townhouses, a parking garage, offices, commercial space, a roof garden and a restaurant with a view of the impressive skyline of Rotterdam.
The Zalmhaven is the absolute new eye-catcher in the Rotterdam skyline. The project consists of three blocks. The high-rise section designed by Dam & Partners is no less than 215 meters high, making this skyscraper the tallest in the Benelux countries. The two medium-high towers of 70 meters high - designed by KAAN Architecten - form a visual staircase to the lower Scheepvaartkwartier.
Project of unprecedented caliber All three parts of the building will be equipped with roof and floor hatches from Gorter from Schagen. These shutters provide absolutely safe access to the roofs and lower areas of the buildings. Gorter is happy to be involved in a project of this caliber!
· The three RHT roof hatches used are thermally separated and have a high insulation value. The sustainable solution for safe roof access! Mainly because the hatches are delivered in combination with perfectly fitting climbing equipment. The (scissor) stairs and ladders from Gorter are specially designed for a safe exit: very stable, completely individually and fall-proof matched to the Gorter roof hatch, no risk of entrapment for the hands and easy to lock during use Thanks to these products, the maintenance teams, who are responsible for facade maintenance installations can safely get onto the roof.
· The five installed floor hatches allow practical and safe access to the areas below. The lid and frame are made of anodized aluminum and the hatch is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The frame is prepared for an optional connection to a drainage system / rainwater drain.
