Anker Stuy's world is one of color and paint, but also of people. Our story begins in 1898, with the printing ink and paint factory “'t Anker” in Steenwijk, Overijssel. The Aberson family made high-quality paint products for that time. The owner of 't Anker has no succession for his company and in 1972 the factory is taken over by Stuy Verven, which was founded by Adriaan Stuy and is located in the Frisian Gorredijk.

In Gorredijk - in addition to wholesale activities - colors are also quickly mixed from semi-finished products to finished products. Stuy Verven is growing: more projects, more customers and an increasing turnover. The current building in Terwispel was taken into use in 1976, production is being scaled up and the building is being further modernized and renovated. Steenwijk and Gorredijk are merged into one production location. We continue as a family business under the name Anker Stuy. The third generation is now active.

In 2016 our team consists of experience and talent, chemistry experts pur sang. Innovation is in Anker Stuy's genes. With our special products we supply paint systems for almost any surface. It is not without reason that we are the market leader in the carpentry industry in the Netherlands. Our short communication lines guarantee a flexible and warm cooperation. With a professional team, we respond quickly to customer requirements and offer a very high service right up to the construction site.
