AN ACOUSTIC SPRAY CEILING FROM ACOSORB

Applying sufficient acoustic absorbing materials prevents reverberation. Our acoustic solutions create a directionless design freedom in combination with good speech intelligibility, high concentration levels, privacy and therefore a lot of comfort. Acoustic spraying and plaster work can be applied practically anywhere, such as new and old buildings and horizontal and vertical surfaces, consisting of profiled roof panels, concrete and plasterboards. Acosorb's acoustic products are made for ceilings and walls. An acoustic spray ceiling is available in a rich palette of colors and textures, from smooth to coarse-grained.

A rich palette of Seamless Spray and plaster

Acosorb's acoustic products are available in a rich color palette, from smooth to coarse-grained. Suitable for any surface, maintenance-friendly and energy-saving.

PRODUCTS

Acoplaster F

Acoplaster is the most finely finished acoustic plaster finish available. The construction consists of two components, namely the mineral wool plate and the finishing layer. The material is applied in a total package thickness of 35mm (3mm panel adhesive, 30mm mineral wool, 2mm plaster layer). The material is applied through an assembly process. The sheet material is glued full-surface to a plasterboard or direct structural surface. This is then provided with a plaster layer. After the plaster layer has dried, the whole is sanded to correct all imperfections. Damages afterwards can easily be repaired invisibly by lubricating some material and sanding after drying.

This product can be applied to almost any surface. Due to the hygroscopic properties even in swimming pools. Weight after application is 7-8 kg/m2.

Principles application

  • Substrate must be clean, dry and airtight (sealing plasterboard seams)

  • Flatness of the surface determines the flatness of the end result

  • Extend central boxes, etc. to the thickness of the spraying

  • For spotlights, custom build solutions have been designed and printed using sleeves or 3D

  • If no termination by wall or frame, a closing profile must be placed

  • Installation using mobile scaffolding and/or scissor lifts

  • Temperature during and after application 15°C

  • To speed up the drying process, we recommend installing fans and construction dryers

  • A moisture meter is made available to monitor the drying process

Acospray DC1

Acospray DC1 is a post chipped finish consisting of two components. Binder on the one hand, enriched cellulose fibers on the other. The material can be applied in 5mm to a maximum of 20mm in the mass.

In addition, it is possible to apply this on a mineral wool when very high absorption values have to be achieved. Package thickness 40mm (consisting of 3mm plate adhesive, 30mm absorbent plate material, 7mm Acospray DC1).

The material is applied by means of a spraying process in which various layers are sprayed crosswise. This creates a finish with a very fine post chipped structure.

This product can be applied to almost any surface. Due to the hygroscopic properties even in swimming pools to semi-outdoor situations such as balconies. Weight after drying per 10mm thickness of applied material 2 – 3 kg/m2.

  • We recommend applying a green plasterboard as a substrate

  • Flatness of the surface determines the flatness of the end result

  • Acoprimer promotes adhesion and ensures a proportional absorbency of the substrate.

  • Extend central boxes, etc. to the thickness of the spraying

  • If no termination by wall or frame, a closing profile must be placed

  • Pre-treat metal parts against rust formation

  • Installation using mobile scaffolding and/or scissor lifts

  • Temperature during and after application 15°C

Acospray DC2 2.0

Acospray DC2 2.0 consists of two components. Binder on the one hand, enriched cellulose fibers on the other. The material can be applied in 5mm to a maximum of 25mm. In the latter case, maximum absorption in the speech frequencies is achieved.

The material is applied by means of a spraying process in which various layers are sprayed crosswise and pressed down during the process. This creates a structured ceiling with a flat appearance.

The character of the Green Line fibers India Yellow and Hong Kong Gray also allows it to be carried out in Acospray DC2 2.0 version.

This product can be applied to almost any surface. Due to the hygroscopic properties even in swimming pools to semi-outdoor situations such as balconies. Weight after drying per 10mm thickness of applied material 1.5 – 2.0 kg/m2.

The material is applied by means of a spraying process in which various layers are sprayed crosswise. This creates a finish with a fine spray structure.

The character of the Green Line fibers India Yellow and Hong Kong Gray also allows it to be carried out in Acospray DC2 1.0 version.

Acospray DC3

Acospray DC3 is our standard spray plaster and consists of two components. Binder on the one hand, enriched cellulose fibers on the other. The material can be applied in 10mm to a maximum of 50mm. In the latter case, maximum absorption in the speech frequencies is achieved.

The material is applied by means of a spraying process in which various layers are sprayed crosswise. This creates a finish with a medium-fine spray structure.

The character of the Green Line fibers also allows it to be carried out in Acospray DC3 version.

This product can be applied to almost any surface. Due to the hygroscopic properties even in swimming pools to semi-outdoor situations such as balconies. Weight after drying per 10mm thickness of applied material 1.3 – 1.8 kg/m2.

Colors

White, Cool Grey, ILA (concrete) Grey, Oman Grey, Black, Terracotta, Blue, Green and any other specific color by adding pigment to the adhesive.

 

Cleaning

  • Option 1: The removal of possible dust and cobwebs can be done with a vacuum cleaner with a soft textile nozzle

  • Option 2: Treating the surface with dry ice. A maintenance contract can also be concluded for this.

 

Repairs

  • Small repairs are easy to do manually

  • Medium-sized repairs can be handled with our mini-machine (38 kg).

  • Major repairs, refinishing with regular spraying equipment (200kg)

 

To paint

The material can be sprayed over using an airless spraying technique. We advise not to use a rolling technique

 

Remove acoustic layer

Moisten the material and let it soak for 24 hours. After that it is easy to remove

 

Principles application

  • Substrate must be clean, dry and airtight (sealing plasterboard seams)

  • Flatness of the surface determines the flatness of the end result

  • Acoprimer promotes adhesion, prevents blood circulation and moisture saturation of the surface

  • Extend central boxes, etc. to the thickness of the spraying

  • If no termination by wall or frame, a closing profile must be placed from 10mm thickness

  • Pre-treat metal parts against rust formation

  • Installation using mobile scaffolding and/or scissor lifts

  • Temperature during and after application 15°C

  • Installations/wall parts are sprayed as standard in 10mm thickness to allow the contours to be drawn
